This 4Ground Corrugated set (28s-MAO 120) consists of 40 pre-painted, metallic-colored plastic corrugated, 5 sprues for the 28 mm scale.

Corrugated iron was invented in the 1820s in Britain by Henry Robinson Palmer, architect and engineer at the London Dock Company. It was originally created (as the name suggests) of wrought iron. The pale light, strong, corrosion-resistant and easy to transport and lent itself particularly for prefab by semi-skilled workers. It quickly became a common construction material in rural areas in the United States, Chile, Africa, New Zealand and Australia and later in India, and in Australia and Chile also became (and remains) a common roof even in urban areas.

In some less prosperous areas in the world sheets are an important building block for the construction of slums.

For roofing purposes, the plates are placed somewhat like tiles, with a lateral overlap of one and a half ridges and a vertical overlap which makes it waterproof. Corrugated sheets are also a common building material for industrial buildings worldwide.
